My name is mary getz. I am a native, disabled, artist from Michigan, where I live with my husband, joey, and my son, baba, and our four pets. I love to make art about the little things in life that make me happy. But mostly I use art as an escape from the daily stress of living with chronic mental and physical illness. To me, it’s about the process, getting in the “zone”, and the joy of a completed idea that drives my love of art. My current passions are printmaking, other art & textile work, learning my native language, bodéwadmimwen (Potawatomi), and making time for my health and family fun.
